THOMAS GEGGEL

Thomas Geggel (born 1949) is the son of Heinz Geggel, who was perse­cu­ted by the Nazis as a Jew and inter­ned in the Gurs concen­tra­tion camp. Most of his family was murde­red in Auschwitz.

 

As an anti-fascist and commu­nist, Thomas worked at the DDR’s Minis­try for State Secu­rity from 1968 on. Today he remains an active member of the Pales­tine soli­da­rity move­ment in Berlin.
